Ok when I saw this "one finger.. 20 sheets" I was skeptical. When I got it and tried it.. I was AMAZED!This is truly a piece of engineering. he first time I tried it (on a catalog I got in the mail.. about 20 pages), I thought it didn't even work, you literally don't feel it "clicking" - it is that smooth! How to compare it to a regular stapler? Take your stapler, take out all the staples and press down.. it is even smoother than that! It comes with 1/4" staples, (I am unsure if it works with longer staples all the staples I have here are 1/4"). Some notes: 1) It is not 100% metal, the top is plastic, however he rest is metal, and the body where the staples slide is thick cast metal. 2) You CAN NOT use this to staple to a wall flat surface. 3) To load the stapler you flip it upside down, slide the body away from the base, and load the staples into the body itself, points up That's about it.. this is a GREAT stapler... The EvoLX is a lightweight but sturdy stapler with a spring action that allows stapling with very little effort. It's 20 page limit can be pushed a bit (25 pages was really no problem) and the fact that it takes almost no effort to staple is a nice touch for anyone who might have difficulty using staplers that require more force. I'm not a huge fan of the bottom loader, but that's mainly due to it not being what I'm used to so I would have to remind myself how to load it. I like the stapler and have preferred using it to others that I've used. The only downside is that because the spring really has to be in position to complete the stapling successfully; speedy stapling often leaves you with half stapled papers. This is best for those who are stapling items as they need them, but if you need to get the job done in a hurry I would say look elsewhere. Staplers I have used in the past have been able to do 20 sheets, but only when I pressed down with all my weight. The PaperPro doesn't even need to be placed on a hard surface to staple all 20 sheets at once. I was easily able to staple 20 sheets together by gripping the entire stapler with one hand and lightly pressing.The PaperPro also staples perfectly. The staple ends come together nicely and so far I haven't experienced occasions where only one half of the staple goes through the paper nor ugly stapler ends. I thought manual stapler technology had reached its pinnacle long ago, but the PaperPro proves that wrong. I didn't expect a stapler to surprise me, but using the PaperPro made me feel happy about stapling. |
