Overall, it is much better of a case than any soft case. But it feels noticeably less sturdy than all other pelican cases i've ever come across. The top and bottom of the case seem thinner and less reinforced than the bulletproof standard pelican cases. After we got to Iraq, a friend ordered the Pelican 1495 (has latches on the sides AND front, better handle, locks, etc etc etc). The 1495 is FAR SUPERIOR to this computer case. It is more rigid, stronger, better built, more professionally designed, pretty much beats this case out on all fronts. Not sure why Pelican even makes this case, now that I have seen both of their laptop cases. And considering that the 1495 can be found for something like $30 cheaper almost everywhere online, it is a no-brainer.
